Camps

SOAR Fox Cities’ Camp Programs provides camping experiences for individuals with developmental disabilities.  These types of opportunities are very limited for the adults.  Transportation to camp is also provided, so it does not exclude campers who rely on public transportation, or place a burden on aging parents who no longer drive to find transportation for their children.

Camp activities are inclusive and designed to accommodate the differing cognitive abilities and fitness levels of the campers.  The purpose of the Camp Program is to provide the campers a unique social skills development opportunity, varied experiences and activities in a camp setting, and an environment to learn activities of daily living (ADL).  Camp also provides a much needed respite for the campers’ families and caregivers.
